A bit of history:
Cleveland Internationals is an American soccer team, formed in 2004. The team is a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, and plays in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference against teams from Charleston, Cincinnati, Pontiac and Toronto.
The Internationals play their home games at Coughlin Field on the grounds of St. Edward High School in the city of Lakewood, Ohio, 6 miles west of downtown Cleveland. The team's colors are white and blue.
In addition to the PDL team, the Internationals also maintain clubs in the USL W-League and the Super Y-League.
The team is a part of the larger Internationals Soccer Club, which was established in 1976 as an outlet for players who had graduated from college with a desire to continue to play competitively, and currently comprises more than 22 men's, women's and children's teams throughout Northeast Ohio.
