A bit of history:
Kocaelispor is the football team of İzmit, Turkey. They were founded in 1966 and played in the Turkcell Super League between 1980-1988 and 1992-2003. The best result for them was 4th in 1992-93 season. They won Turkish Cup twice in 1997 and 2002. Kocaelispor were managed by 3 managers during 2007-2008 season: Fuat Yaman (1-10), Kayhan Çubuklu (11-31) and Engin İpekoğlu (32-34). They finally returned to Turkcell Super League as Champions in this season.
