A bit of history:

FC Winterthur is a Swiss football club based in Winterthur, Canton of Zürich. It was founded in 1896. They play at the Schützenwiese Stadium.

The 1896 founded club was Swiss champion three times (1906, 1908 and 1916). It played in the Swiss league-cup final two times and two times in the final of the Swiss Cup. The FC Winterthur is the best in the eternal table of the NLB(now called Challenge League). They famously lost to West Auckland F.C., an English amateur team in what is thought to be the first international football club competition, the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy.
