A bit of history:
FC St. Gallen is a Swiss football club based in the city of St. Gallen in the canton of the same name. It was founded in 1879 making it the oldest football club in Switzerland. A new stadium facility called the "AFG Arena" is being built in the western part of the city and is scheduled to open in 2008, replacing the existing "Espenmoos" ground in the east end.
