A bit of history:
IK Oddevold was started as a neighborhood club called Karlsbergs IF in 1932. The name was eventually changed to IK Brage, but when it was discovered that the name was already in use by another team they changed their name to Blixtens IK, but soon settled on IK Oddevold. During the 1950s, IK Oddevold was initially unable to play at Rimnersvallen without a ship owner, Gustaf B. Thordarson, so they played at Oddevallen, which opened in 1951.
