A bit of history:
On July 23, 1930, in the cafè Norat in la Rambla of Girona, Girona Fútbol Club was founded, upon disappearance of UE Girona. The team subsequently entered in the second division of the Catalan Championships.
The first official match was played in the Colònia Artigas, and the team would eventually compete in the second level, between 1934-1943 (6 seasons), 1948-1951 and 1956-1959.
