A bit of history:
NK Rudar Velenje is a Slovenian football club, which plays in the town of Velenje. At the end of the 2005-2006 season, they were relegated to the Second Division of Slovenian professional football after playing the season in the First Division. In 2007-2008 they finished first and thus achived a promotion back to the first league.
