A bit of history:
Chemik Police was founded in 1968 near Zak³ady Chemiczne Police (a chemistry branch). From 1991 the club was playing as Polger Police, but 2 years later back to name Chemik Police (MKS). From 1999 to 2001 the sponsor decided to create a club named Pomerania Police. Near bankruptcy in 2001, the club was renamed as KP Police. In 2008 the supporters and club authorities decided to restore a historical name – Chemik Police (KP).
