A bit of history:
Polonia Bytom was founded after the World War II, when the officials and players of Pogoñ Lwów came to Bytom and created this club.
May 21st, 1945 is the official date of Polonia's reactivation because the club's progenitor existed from 1920 to 1922.
Two times (in 1954 and 1962) Polonia was the champion and 4 times (in 1952, 1958, 1959 and 1961) the club was the vice-champion of Poland
