A bit of history:
Thee club were founded as KS Plania Racibórz (27.04.1946). From June 1949 to November 1949 they were playing as ZKS Chemik Racibórz, near the chemistry branch. Then renamed to ZKS Unia Racibórz, and 8 years later (18.03.1957) - KS Unia Racibórz. From 1997/98 season the team changed name to RTP Unia and finally, in 2008 came back to historical crest and renamed to KP Unia Racibórz.
The club spent 2 years in Polish top division, and the 8th place at the finish of 1963-64 season was the best result in their history.
