A bit of history:
The history of football in Wągrowiec was started 1923, when the team named Unia was founded. Probably this club was transformed (or defuncted and next reactivated as Nielba, in 1925. During the World War II the club wasn’t existed.
After the war, the 14th of October 1945 the club was reactivated as Wągrowiecki Klub Sportowy. In 1948 WKS was merged with KS ZWM Zryw Wągrowiec and played as WKS Zryw till 1948, when changed name to Związkwiec. Several fussions and transformations of football teams (Kolejarz,
Sparta, Budowlani, Gwardia, LZS POM) from Wągrowiec in early 50s, caused foundation of Kolejowy Klub Sportowy Nielba (1957). In 90s the name was changed from KKS Nielba to MKS (Miejski Klub Sportowy) Nielba.
