A bit of history:
The club was founded after fussion between LZS Moszczenica and LZS Jastrzębie Górne in 1962. In 1988 GKS Jastrzębie was promoted to Polish 1st division, but relegated after one season. From 1999 to 2005 GKS was playing as MKS Górnik Jastrzębie, currently MKS GKS Jastrzębie.
