A bit of history:
The club was founded in 1973 as KSS Korona Kielce. There was the union of two clubs from Kielce - Iskra and SHL. The silver-metalic crown was the first symbol of team. Club name was changed to MKS (Międzyzakładowy Klub Sportowy) Korona Kielce in 1980. This team was defunct in 1993 but football section was reactivated soon, as MKS SF (Miejski Klub Sportowy Sekcja Piłkarska) Korona Kielce.
The name was modified 2 times by club sponsors. First, between 1996 and 1999 Korona was playing as MKS SF Korona Nida Gips Kielce. Another financial trouble caused the fusion of Korona and Błêkitni Kielce in 2000 and changed name to KKP Korona Kielce.
In 2002 the golden era in Korona had begun. Kolporter became the new sponsor, Krzysztof Klicki the new chairman, and the club name changed to Kielecki Klub Piłkarski Kolporter Korona. In 2003 the team was again renamed, this time to Sportowa Spółka Akcyjna Kolporter Korona. In 2005 Korona won the 2nd league and for the first time in the club's history was promoted to the Polish premier league.
The actual crest contains the traditional crown. The club has been using this logo since July 25th 2006, after 6 years with others crests. The crown was modyfied a little in January 2007 when the club changed name to Kolporter Korona SA.
