A bit of history:

The Club Sportivo Luqueño was founded in May 1st 1921 on Luque, Paraguay, after the fusion of the biggest clubs of the city: Marte Atlético, General Aquino y Vencedor. The club has the city's colours: yellow and blue.

As many paraguayan clubs Sportivo Luqueño lasted a long time without a logo. The first one was a simple-striped badge with the club's initials. Unnoficially, the club would be also represented by a striped badge with a pig, the club's mascot, on it's middle.

In 2001 a new logo was designed for the club: striped with the club's colours with a round monogram in the center and three stars (representing the clubs that merged into Sportivo Luqueño) on top.
