Sandnes Ulf played against Leeds United on July 17, 2006. The match was one of the biggest events in the modern history of Sandnes Ulf. This match was a great opportunity for the players to show their best to the people of Sandnes who mainly support the local top teams Viking FK and Bryne FK. Leeds won the match 2-1, Eirik Bakke and Robbie Blake scored the goals for Leeds United. Kjetil Norland scored an early goal for Sandnes Ulf, but Leeds managed to win. Around 1500 people saw the match, which is a large crowd for Sandnes Ulf.
