Alta Idrettsforening is a sports club from Alta, Norway. It is most known for its football department, whose last stint in the Norwegian Division One (Adeccoligaen) came in 2005, when they finished last.
They play at Alta Idrettspark, or Finnmarkshallen when snow and other weather conditions render the pitch unusable. Their attendance record of about 3000 was set in 1995 against Rosenborg. Notable former players include Trond Fredrik Ludvigsen and Erik Sandvärn.
