A bit of history:

Brujas F.C. de Desamparados is a Costa Rican football club based in Desamparados, Costa Rica. The name Brujas literally translates to "Witches." The team's home town used to be Escazú, known around the country as "La ciudad de las Brujas" or "The Witches' Town" but the team left this year, transferring the franchise to Desamparados. The team currently competes in the Primera División de Costa Rica. It was founded in 2004 and it was good news for Costa Rican Football, a new concept and a competitive team. By 2005, the team had signed one of the best coaches from the 2004 tournament, Colombian coach Carlos Restrepo, and changed their stadium to the National Stadium of Costa Rica but soon after that they had to change again to his new home Estadio "Cuty" Monge in Desamparados. They have not had any economic problems so far, and have even managed to sign players such as Alvaro Mesen, William Sunsing, Ricardo Steer, Steven Bryce, Berny Peña, and so many others. Brujas is actually the newest team in Costa Rica, and has gained a lot of fans since they creation. It is currently managed by Mauricio Wright, former Deportivo Saprissa and CS Herediano' player, who was a member of Costa Rica's 2002 World Cup national team.
