A bit of history:
The club is based at the Shaanxi Stadium in Xi'an and playing in the Chinese Super League. Previously this club was Xi'an Chanba International or Inter Xian. Chanba is the names of two local rivers in Xi'an, Chan River and Ba River.
The club was found in 1995 as Shanghai Pudong FC. In 2001, renamed Shanghai COSCO Huili FC. In 2003, renamed Shanghai COSCO Sanlin FC. In 2005, renamed Shanghai Yungtay FC, it was often called Inter Shanghai. After 2005 season, the club moved to Xi'an and renamed Inter Xi'an Chanba FC. 2007, renamed Shaanxi Baorong Chanba FC.
The logo of Shaanxi Baorong Chanba FC includes shield, northwest wolf, ancient city walls. The red head of wolf shapes the ferocious personality of "Northwest Fire Wolf". Red, yellow, black represents the geographical characteristics of the west China. Ancient city walls mean Shaanxi province¡¯s long history and cultural identity. Waveform of the bond means ahead, friendship, hard work, and it also means the Chan River and Ba River around the city. The shield with a combination of ancient city wall, supported by red tone, shows club's team sprite: strong, vibrant, tough, fight bravely.
