A bit of history:
The Associação Portuguesa de Desportos was founded on August 14th 1920, by portuguese immigrants in the city of São Paulo. Its colors are the same of Portugal's national flag, red and green.
Portuguesa's first logo was simply the portuguese flag in a badge-shape. This symbol would be changed, in 1923, to a white badge with red contour and a green Avis Cross on center. In 2005 this logo was redesigned, and a golden contour was added.
