A bit of history:
In October 12th 1898 the Club de Regatas São Christovão, a rowing club, was founded. It's colors were the pink and black, and the logo consisted of an anchor, row, hook and a star. The name was after the neighbourhood of São Cristóvão, in Rio de Janeiro.
In 1909, on the same neighbourhood, the São Cristovão Athletic Club - a football club - was founded. It's official colors were the black and white, and it's uniform all white. According to FIFA, São Christóvão is the only club in the world without a second uniform.
In 1941 the Club de Regatas São Christovão and the now called São Cristóvão Atlético Clube merged into the São Cristóvão de Futebol e Regatas. The colours and logo remained the same of São Cristóvão A.C., but with a pink contour and C.R. São Christovão's symbols replacing the foot-ball. The official foundation is the one from C.R. São Christovão.
