Floresta Atlético Clube was founded on February 7th 1928, on the city of Cambuci, north of Rio de Janeiro State. After spending most of it's existence in minor regional leagues along with biggest rival EC Suburbano, Floresta entered on Rio de Janeiro Third Division in 2006, quickly ascending to the Second Division in 2007 and almost reaching the First Division in 2008.
It's colours are green and white.
