A bit of history:
On October 14th 1961, Esporte Clube Barreira was founded in the city of Saquarema (RJ). It's colours were green, red and white.
In 2004 a group of lebanese-descendents bussinessman bought the traditional EC Barreira and transformed it into Boavista Sport Club, changing it's colours and logo to the Lebanon tree. They established the March 10th 2004 as the new official foudation.
