A bit of history:
Oud-Heverlee Leuven is a Belgian football club, from the municipality of Leuven. It has been in the second division since 2005-06. It results from the 2002 fusion between K. Stade Leuven, K. Daring Club Leuven and F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee.
The club of Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee registered to the FA in 1957. In 2000 it won the title of champion of the Promotion. During the 2001-02 season it played in the same league as neighbour K. Stade Leuven. At the end of that season, the city of Leuven wanted to improve the level of football played in the city and it was decided that three clubs would merge eventually. The new club kept the matricule n°6142 of the "Zwarte Duivels". At the end of its first season, it lost in the third division playoff final to Eendracht Aalst while it had finished 2nd in the third division B 5 points away from Tubize. After a third place in the same division in 2004, Oud-Heverlee Leuven finished 2nd once again in 2005 and this time it won the playoff and subsequently entered the second division competition from 2005-06 onwards.
