A bit of history:
On October 12, 1958 S.V. Britannia was officially founded and is officially situated in Piedra Plat.
The colours of the uniform of SV Britannia are yellow and red jersey and blue shorts, and the name Britannia was chosen, by Americo (Merco) Croes, because in that time many teams were named by country’s popular in football, as Holandia, Jong Holland (Curacao), Jong Colombia and Jong Aruba. The name Britannia derived from Great Britain which is also a very popular country in football.
